Pamela Rubin Cohen is Vice President of Philanthropy Services for First Foundation Bank. She oversees the Philanthropy Services Group and is responsible for the administration of charitable foundations and donor advised funds for individual clients, families, and private foundations. Ms. Cohen provides services customized to clients’ philanthropic goals, including legacy planning, creating a charitable mission and focus areas, identifying high impact funding opportunities, governance and succession planning, engaging the next generation, facilitation of board meetings, retreats and site visits, and coordination with legal and tax advisors.

Pamela Cohen has more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit, philanthropy and education sectors. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, she worked at the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, the California Community Foundation, and The Walt Disney Company, where she focused on bringing innovation and experiential learning to K-12 education. Pamela began her career in education reform at a Los Angeles-based nonprofit, LEARN, and at a D.C.-based government relations firm. Her experience led her to develop expertise in advising and managing clients in implementing a unique philanthropic strategy aligned with their values. She has served as a consultant to numerous family and private foundations including The Eisner and Jane Wyman foundations.

She is a member of the Los Angeles Advisory Board for Facing History and Ourselves, which provides teacher professional development to promote understanding about identity and belonging. She also serves on the regional and national board of the American Technion Society - Israel Institute of Technology, which advances critical research and technologies that serve Israel and the global good. Ms. Cohen is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (B.A., Political Science) and Harvard University (Ed.M., Education Policy and Human Development).
