ABOUT MARC

Occupationally, my principal is insurance/financial services…has been for decades. Experientially, I’m an entrepreneur having been disguised as a corporate figure. Educationally, I’m a ChFC, Certified Exit Planner (CEPA), with a bachelors in education. My passion? Teaching and consulting…that’s what I do within all I do. Always have.

The normal stuff:

Found the insurance and financial services sector – went into business. Merged into a corporate role with a giant company. Amazing career – managed hundreds of people and tens of $millions. Worked in emerging markets, hiring, firing, legal, HR, marketing, P/L, political lobbying, public speaking, growth strategies, talent development, leadership, and stuff. Left it for lifestyle and family – back into entrepreneurship through the insurance/finance, goods/services, grocery, consulting, and non-profit adventures.

The real stuff:

I’m a paradox:

  • My dream is to live off the grid in a village of 200 people and have 3 close friends.
  • My dream is to influence and be influenced by thousands, have exhausting levels of responsibility, and be fueled by the rush of ambition.
  • These dreams used to be at odds. Now they are in harmony.

I have failed more than I have succeeded. My weaknesses far outnumber my strengths. I credit both for what character I may have.

The rest:

I have a beautiful wife, four beautiful daughters, horses, cows, and space. I consider myself the richest man on earth due to the number of relationships in my life. I am content. I am thankful. And I am at peace. I could die tomorrow with no regrets having fit many lifetimes worth of experiences into the short one I’ve lived. But as long as I’m breathing, may as well keep at it.
