ABOUT WILLIAM

William McBride IV or “Will” is a First Vice President, Director of Impact Investing, and Portfolio Management Director at Morgan Stanley. He employs a planning-based approach with each client relationship. This process integrates each client’s immediate and future needs and includes helping to manage concentrated stock and stock options, cash management and lending solutions, retirement planning and advanced estate planning strategies including insurance. Will also oversees the team’s strategies regarding multi-generational wealth planning, special needs planning, corporate cash management, corporate retirement plans, credit facilities, business succession planning and investment banking.

In 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 - Will was named to Morgan Stanley's prestigious Pacesetter's Club. The Pacesetter's Club is a global recognition program for an elite group of the firm’s successful financial advisers who demonstrate the highest professional standards and first-class client service. Will was awarded from 2020 - 2023 the Five Star Professional Award; to qualify a wealth manager must satisfy 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria. Will has attended Rady School of Management at University of California, San Diego. He also holds a Certified Portfolio Manager or CPM® Designation. Becoming a Certified Portfolio Manager involves in-depth study of fundamental analysis, option valuation, foreign currency exchange, credit default swap structure and valuation analysis, and asset allocation.

Some of Will’s passions include ESG investing where he believes companies can be profitable and socially responsible. On a personal note Will is married to his wife Zibby and have a newborn son Quincy and resides in San Diego. In his free time Will loves to fly planes, golf, and collect art. He is originally from Montecito, California.
