Brian Zaumeyer is an independent investor with over 20 years of private equity and related experience. Mr. Zaumeyer is the founder of New Aero Capital, LLC, which is an independent investment platform formed to pursue independent controlling stake investments in private companies in the Aerospace & Defense industry. Prior to forming New Aero Capital, Mr. Zaumeyer was a Managing Principal of Odyssey Investment Partners, which is a middle market private equity firm with approximately $5 billion AUM and a 30-year history of making transformative investments in select industrial and services sectors. During his 13-year tenure as part of Odyssey’s Los Angeles office, Mr. Zaumeyer was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring investments across various industrial sectors, including aerospace & defense, among others. During his tenure at Odyssey, Mr. Zaumeyer served on the boards of Wencor Group, BarrierSafe Solutions, L-com and AllClear Aerospace & Defense, and also lead the firm’s origination effort. Prior to Odyssey, Mr. Zaumeyer was a principal at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, where he focused on sourcing, executing and monitoring private equity investments in various industrial sectors. Prior to joining DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, he worked in the Investment Banking Divisions of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse from 1999 to 2005, where he focused on financing and advisory services for private equity clients, and previously was an associate at boutique M&A advisory firm Unterberg, Towbin, focused on aerospace & defense clients.
